Check your email; I just received the following email from Postmates (same ownership as Uber Eats). I have Uber One. This may be targeted. I received a code unique to me. I entered into my promos section and it immediately showed up as $30 off $30 but this is likely a mistake and the fine print correctly shows $20 off $30.
1Expires 5/31/23 at Midnight PST. Order min $30 before taxes and fees required. Maximum 2 redemptions per customer. Must apply the promo code before checkout. Maximum offer value of $20 per order. Taxes and fees still apply. Valid only on delivery orders from participating merchants. Terms are subject to change. Exclusions may apply. Cannot be combined or transferred. See app for availability.Eats

On another note. Should I sign up for postmates? I've been outta the e/sd-loop since 2020 when I left to travel for years. I feel like I'm the noob now when it comes to technology an deals.
Interestingly, it also says I can share the coupon with 5 people and I would get $10 back in Uber credit for everyone who placed an order with that $20 off coupon.

Why do you think you guys were targeted? Have you guys not been ordering or using a lot of promos recently? Why do they even keep two platforms doing delivery? we'll use whatever has better promos but Postmates always charges up to double the delivery fee compared to Uber eats and DoorDash. Plus an extra two dollars in California for driver's something or other. Supposedly required by law but I don't see that charge @ DoorDash. Do you guys tip differently on each platform because of this?
Also They've been calculating tax not just on the subtotal like others, but subtotal plus something else. And some calculate The tax on subtotal minus coupons, while some calculate it before coupons are applied⦠What exactly is legally required ?? But I noticed recently they've been charging less tax, but it's all so murky and shady.

I absolutely agree on the murky practices. Tax & Fees are astronomical and the suggested tip is always calculated to include taxes which is not standard tipping practice. I tip my drivers well anyways but I don't use any Delivery Apps unless it's beneficial for me financially to save a few bucks and get a good local bite to eat.
appreciate if you could PM me
