Have been wanting this model for a while. The 18" light height makes a huge difference. Plus, it is a better light. IMO these are the best thing for germinating seeds to grow outside. Not sure if they make a tray for this model, but they do for most others. With my Classic 6, I think the tray can take 36 pods for germination. The XL I will use for year-round tomatoes, the slim I use for lettuce, and the mid size ones mostly for germination.

Same here. Guess I'll keep buying lettuce at the grocery store.

Edit: It did not work on my iPhone but I tried on my laptop and it worked fine.

Definitely appreciate increased height for Harvest CL…That said, reviews & discussions I've been able to find indicate that Bounty ()ideally, Elite) - rather than Harvest XL - is a much better investment. In the interest of space, will just encourage you to google "harvest XL bs bounty" but reply or DM if yoi want more intel Smilie

Sure, but you are talking about $90 vs $220-$330 (on this current deal)... not really all that comparable.

I have the bounty basic and the harvest elite (not xl), imo the bounty is a much better investment if you want more options like tomatos or peppers. Even lettuces also benefit from a larger spaces. Harvest models are suitable for herbs, seedlings.

I have this and love it but tomatoes grow too big so can't produce much and crowd out herbs. Next round I'll only do herbs.

Seed tray should fit both. I'd be tempted on this for the extra light height if I didn't have 2 mufuga 12's that go up to 18" so my harvest mainly gets used for herbs or seed starting..

I've never tried anything like this before. How often can you harvest a pint of cherry tomatoes or how much basil can you pick per month?

Look up how to prune tomatoes. I've never had one but I'm a horticulturist and have wondered how well they'd actually do in that space and knew you'd have to prune the hell out of the plants.

100%. Plus, there are dwarf varieties that do not stretch out... but they still need to be pruned correctly. Starting with topping them when they are only a couple inches tall.

Once the spring/summer comes around, I transplant the tomato plant into an outdoor soil filled planter. They kick into overdrive and produce all summer. I usually get a year out of them before "diseases" from outside kill them off.

Yes, I was getting this same error code. I deleted everything from my cart and started a new order and it worked.

This. I prune the heck out of mine. Also don't fill in all the pods with plants. I'd have 2-3 plants max.
