I've had this air purifier for about 3 years now and have been very happy with it. There was a short period of time where Bissell was not restocking the replacement filters but eventually they did restock them on their own website (not Amazon) and things have been fine since.

The sensor on it is pretty sensitive. We have ours set to auto so it keeps the fan speed low of air quality is good. Whenever we cook and make a little smoke in the kitchen, the purifier in the living room detects the drop in air quality and will start revving up to clean it faster. It's very sensitive to smoke and other outdoor pollution like smog and pollen.

You can see the difference in air quality on it's screen when the windows in the house are.open or closed. If they are open it will never drop to the lowest possible number, but if you close all the windows it'll eventually get the air to the cleanest possible level it can do.

It's fairly low maintenance too. Just clean it's sensor once every few months and replace the filters every 6-9 months. 6 months more.l likely if you have lots of people and/or pets. We just have two people so the filters last us about 9 months. You wanna change both the charcoal and HEPA filter.
SD shilling Bissell / Woot crap again? Consumer Reports rated it as 56/100.

FYI, Blueair 605 gets an 88/100. Winix 9800 76/100.

Noisy. Only works OK at high speed. Middling reliability and owner satisfaction. Expensive to operate.

Also I highly recommend any purifier with a true HEPA filter like this for anyone who has bad allergies or lives near a freeway.

I like the looks of it! Looks like a speaker or something that will blend into the house. Wish it was black instead of white, but i do like the faux wood legs. Looks like filters are about $20 for one.

I've been keeping an eye out for an air purifier, since I have frequent allergies and I frequently have to dust my apartment. Just picked this one up since it looks like a good time to grab one. I'll update this comment once It arrives in the next few days!

The reviews for this model repeat very similar negative issues, from either it malfunctions and stops working after 6-24 months and or high pitch electrical noises from the fan/air sensor. Almost pulled the trigger and grabbed one, but holding off till I can look into it further when I get home. Probably going to have to pass on this one. Ty for posting though.

How is this in comparison to Winix C545? I own that and am very happy with its super quiet operation.

I really wanted this Once Upon a time when it was always out of stock at BestBuy but reviews were so so. 5 year warranty helps. Great price looks good. Sticking to Alen for Bedroom and Coway for living room.

If you're buying an air purifier, there better be a damn good reason to get one whose filters aren't available on Amazon and/or Costco.

Nobody is buying these, thats why they're on Woot and why you've never heard of it before. If nobody is buying them, what are the chances you'll still be able to get them (or get them at a reasonable price) in a few years?
