Even though this is the new version, this price drop tends to happen every few months and tied to major holidays so I would consider this the "regular lowest listed price" but this is a great value kit for anyone that works on cars or home projects regularly but don't require a "professional grade" kit. Military also get 10% off.

This is a solid set for those that aren't married to waiting for the consensus best mechanic's set which is the Dewalt 192 kit. I would say this socket set will cover about 85-90% of what you need working on most cars and around the house.

There are a lot of filler pieces but for the essentials, it covers most of your bases. It's one of my static in garage sets because I'm not to upset when sockets disappear randomly.

It's been $89 at a couple local HDs in Jersey for the past couple weeks at least. Use zip code 07054.

I'm pretty sure this was $89 in one St. Louis location too. Big stack of them near the check-out last night.

It would be weird if it skipped 10 but included 9. I am not sure if ever used a 9 mm socket.

Harbor freight? All their hand tools lifetime warranty btw. Same thing you would do at home depot or lowes if you have a broken hand tool from a house brand.

Is this gonna have everything fall out like my cheap old Craftsman set? I want one that is good (for the house…) and won't rust to crap but really be useful, not with a bunch of screw driver type tips that just get lost or rust or be an issue.

Any suggestions?

I have this set. Drawers don't latch and I've had them fly open with all of the sockets flying everywhere. Won't buy again.

I love HF. They have lifetime warranty on all their hand tools and they take them back every time no questions asked.

For most hand tools like screwdrivers and sockets, they have 3 levels. Pittsburgh, Doyle and Icon.

The Pittsburgh is super cheap. It'll get the job done, but unless price is literally the only metric, it's probably not worth it. The Doyle though? Do a Pepsi challenge between that and any other brand… they are literally just as good or better than any other brand I've ever used including OG Craftsman, Mac, Wera and Snap-On.
