IMO you need the ones with the flat outlet head. These can be dangerous if used behind anything movable (desk, bookshelf etc)

Black color is now OOS. Sweet find, ordered 3 since we just moved and the outlets are far and few. Scored 8% SD CB as well!

I agree, but I would say more annoying than dangerous.

I really takes only a small amount of pressure to cause an Electrical arc, I will let the electricians on the board make the final call. I had a near miss and got rid of mine.

I'm not planning on tripping over any cords anytime soon though. Are you saying this specific brand is worse than dollar tree junk an doesn't stay in?

A flat plug has greater résistance to bending and being pulled from an outlet. A slight pull from the outlet can result in fire

Wonder how many people have just one of these in their home,
Great price but I would be concerned about the quality of electrical connection inside. But I guess 15 amp draw is 15 amp draw, breaker is supposed to pop, unless there is a slow heat

Good thing I don't go around yanking on my wires. Imagine how easy it is to break optical cables that don't even click into place. Or tiny exposed wiring I have going to modded circuit boards

my mom's house wiring is old and im worried she might trip the circuit breaker while alone and not know how to reset it. Do surge protectors reduce the change the circuit breaker fuse pops, or does it not help at all with that use case?

If your outlets are loosely holding the plug and create an arc - it's time to replace them.
