Because Nvidia rolls out all the top end desktop GPUs before rolling out mid/low-end in order to prod people with more money than sense who can't wait to overpay for their top-end overpriced GPUs.

Laptop makers are different, since they buy chips months in advance in order to build them into their systems, and usually power and thermal design dictate which GPU goes into which laptops, not impulse/impatience buying.

Guess we won't see midrange desktop versions until the bulk of 50/60 series Ampere and Turing stock is sold. Until then, there are plenty of well-priced mobile options, such as this one.

Same here. Will wait for the 500nit screen. It is such a small price bump over the 300 nit display if you configure it yourself. Wish they had that in this pre-built config.

Incredible deal on a Beastly laptop. Especially since the cashback site that can't be named is fifteen percent on Lenovo right now.

Also they didn't have a non 500 nit option in the prior gen at this size I don't think. recommend the better screen but this deal is hard to beat.

Better efficiency on the 7745HX - less heat and power consumption. The 13900 can perform better, but at a significant cost to heat/power.
