I just got the monitor. Is slightly taller than my dell monitor. For all who are concerned about the 2 screw holes for vesa mounts. There's an adapter to connect a 4 hole vesa mount.
Can I throw a roku in the back and use it as a TV? Haven't seen any priced this low since VIPoutlet stopped having sales
You can if you choose to.
A few things to consider with the monitor itself:
-No built-in speakers but it does have a 3.5mm line out, as well as line in.
-No Infrared-receiver power-on/off used for the Roku remote normally to shut off/control TV's.
A few work around I think could work:
-Monitors usually have a screen saver/sleep mode when it detects no signal from any device. I know the Roku goes to screen saver then to sleep with inactivity (no signal) but I don't know if the power button actually turn off the device, which I imagine it does, or just the TV w/ IR.
-Using Bluetooth speakers thru the Roku, if possible.
-There is a 3.5mm audio line out in the back, use headphones or whatever sound system you want to wire up to it.
-Some Roku remotes have the 3.5mm audio out as another option, for less wires to the monitor.
I ordered this as a replacement monitor for my arcade cabinet. Still hasn't shipped and now the price went down another $5. Hopefully it's good.
Anyone who's purchased it, can you measure the height of the screen from the top of the bezel to the bottom bezel? The only thing I can find are measurements WITH the stand.

250 nits brightness - I know this is a cheap monitor, but this is pretty low. If I put this monitor next to one with the exact same specs, but 50 nits more brightness, you'll tell me that the brighter one is way nicer.

I bought 6 and returned all of them.
They Say VESA compatible. But there are only 2 VESA mount screws to use the mount plate on. If you use on the bottom pair of the stand, it's hanging and if you use the top screws of the plate, the plate covers the power and hdmi connections. And VESA mount screw slots are so shallow that the screws that came with the mount only went in half way. Look at the fourth picture on the post closely and you'll notice only two mount holes on the top.
If you're using it without VESA mount, monitor is slick, extremely weight less and looked good.

Most people want at least 50 inches for a tv nowadays.
