The price is not as good as it was back in 2021, but everything has gone in price in the last 2 years.

Summer hasn't begun yet so I think that's why it hasn't gone down as much. I'm hoping better deals will come sooner rather than later since consumer spending has been going down.

Definitely the Danby for the inverter aspect alone - way more efficient and a lower electric bill.

I saw it in my local warehouse in SoCal but this was before the sale started. I also don't remember the price in-store before the $100 discount started on May 15th. Will be confirming in the next day or two.

I just installed the HIsense one 3 days ago. Am I a bad person if I bag it up and return it to buy this Danby one? I have all the packaging. Uh-Oh... 🥴

You know what? It is Costco's fault. They should pick 1 good model and bring it in for the season. Selling in non-inverter Hisense and then this Danby one after less than 15 days is bad planning on their side. What were they thinking?
This one will go for the refurbished cycle.

All of Hisense has been replaced by Danby in warehouse. I didn't see Hisense unit anymore.

I am stuck deciding between the two as well. The Hisense does have a heat pump which the Danby doesn't, so I guess it comes down to what you need it for.

To make things even more interesting. I think the Midea U inverter window AC is also going to be on-sale starting tomorrow. I think it will be $80 off.

Thanks for pointing out that Danby doesn't have the heat function. I missed that part. However, during winter months, the heat loss through window attachment is too much compared to a double pane window. Hence, we mostly use the electric space heaters or central gas furnace.
I wish the Midea portable AC 4-in-1 comes for sale.

The window AC unit is not for us, however since I have horizontally sliding windows. Frown
