It's one thing to be comfortable using a gray market/stolen Windows key. But paying $50 for one? Why?

No different really then a few Win10 keys I picked up from SCDKey back in 2017, & they're still working BTW. I wouldn't expect them to be any different than that other recent key deal, except in this case losing $50 at some future date would matter more than a couple of bucks. FWIW, interesting note... using Nirsoft's free Produkey app lists different keys then the SCDKey keys that were entered, but Windows is still activated so never worried about it or looked further.

I've learned back in the Windows XP days not to purchase licenses for OS's from any where other than Microsoft, or licensed retailers because any where else you are most likely getting sold a volume license that can expire at any given time and you won't know it until you go to reload your system. This happened to me. I bought an XP license from a Google Approved vendor and about a year later, I needed to reload my OS. After I reinstalled, my OS wouldn't activate. I called Microsoft support and when they looked up my license key (they asked me for a portion of the key) they confirmed that it was a volume license key that was no longer active. Couldn't do anything for me.
Not exactly sure how you "learned" that, as in over 30 years never had a key, whether "real retail", gray market, or "suspicious"/"blackbeardy" get revoked or anything of the sort. Those are just tales told to get children to fall asleep and to dumb adults to spend more money...

Hmmm... Not sure if I'd call this a slick deal. Save yourself $10 and get either of these, or Windows 11 Home for $39 from stacksocial.

If you don't need a new licence and just wish to upgrade, MS FAQ states its free to upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11 if conditions are met.

Not at all, considering they had a deal for it for $2.72 just a couple days ago.

Maybe it's just me but I can't tell based on what I read: is this a full install license for the OS or an upgrade license (meaning you need to have a Windows OS already installed)?

I've been using my Windows 7 Pro key from MSDNAA (college) for the last 10 years. They just keep upgrading me to the newest versions of Windows for free and at this point, I'm not sure I'll ever need another Windows key.

I can concur that I have never had Microsoft refuse a support call or request based on where the original Product ID came from. I can also confirm that any Windows 7 Pro key will similarly activate on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 installation, so if you have the PID from an 'ancient' machine like that, you shouldn't have to pay Microsoft anything further. Also never had a non-retail key ever get turned off or refused support.

Is this for clean installations or for upgrades to Windows Pro?
I bought one from GAMIVO that turned out to be only for clean installations by accident because they weren't clear about that.
