The biggest drawback to dryer sheets is that it coats your clothing with chemicals and will effect the way it absorbs water (especially in the case of towels). Besides chemicals, it is also wasteful and puts more micro-plastics into our environment. Dryer sheets will also coat the inside of your dryer with a waxy chemical coating and can coat your dryers sensors causing it to dry your clothes improperly. (Your 14-year old dryer may not have as many sensors and rely on just a timer)

A better alternative to dryer sheets is to use some vinegar in the wash and dryer balls in the dryer. If all you are after is the smell that dryer sheets gives you, try putting a few drops of essential oils on your balls before using them.
Dryer sheets are scams that put chemicals and scent on clothes and collect in lint trap which damages dryer and also increases drying time. Never bought dryer sheets anymore. These do enough to remove all the static and been using same ones for more than a year

Are these white balls better than the blue spikey blue balls? I've had the blue balls before and was thinking of switching to white.

These worked OK for me. Not as effective as dryer sheets but reduced static cling to the point where it isn't a significant issue for most loads. On a side note my dog also loves them, and they make an absolute disaster when chewed. Be careful when using they don't randomly roll somewhere.
both my cats and dogs love to play with these. I'll find them laying around shredded up…something to consider! I have to hide mine now.

I found these balls did not help at all in term of saving the run time of the dryer.

Same. They did nothing and a waste for me.

Lowest I got it to was $12 no thanks
As I previously mentioned, I also tried several times and kept getting something like $11+ before taxes. The major problem was that I wasn't getting the get "25% off" on the final checkout page for both the balls and the sticks -- though I was getting it on the remaining item when I would delete one of them and sometimes it was only "15% off. It was frustrating and I almost gave up. Finally one time after deleting both items, then adding them back I was able to get a final checkout with both items having the option of getting "25% off." I think I also had to uncheck a "15% off" one time and it changed to a "25% off" option. So if you're willing to play around with it, you might finally end up with a set of sticks and balls.

Last time someone mentioned wool balls at Trader Joe's for about the same price per ball. Been meaning to stop into one and look for them. I won't buy from a company that publishes this in their listing:

Who exactly are the minorities in Nepal? Are these being felted by white women? laugh out loud

A quick google search shows that a 'living wage' in Nepal is $140/mo. What does it take, like a minute to felt a single wool ball? You're not virtuous for transferring a penny of my purchase toward the salary of your Nepalese sweatshop workers.
I can't tell if you're trolling but there are more ethnic groups than white tan and brown in the world.

I will agree, however, that this seems like a lot to pay for a ball of wool, regardless of how, where, or by whom it is produced. Seems like there is machinery out there that could make this for little more than the cost of the wool. I'd rather buy this for cheap (if at all) and give the remainder of the money directly to someone in need than pay for the salaries of a dozen people across the entire supply chain with the worker only receiving the pennies you mentioned.

I'm aware there are more ethnic groups in the world. The point I was making is that the white family who owns this company is most likely referring 'non-white' when they say 'minority' which is pretty much everyone in Nepal. I highly doubt they're referring to underserved ethnic minorities among the Nepalese population so all they're saying with this statement is that Nepalese people work at their Nepal factory and expecting their customers to oooh and ahhh.

The vast majority of profits is padding the pockets of the company owners and not the Nepali workers anyway, so while they aren't necessarily helping a more marginalized subset of Nepalis, and while they are exploiting the Nepalis working at the factories by not equitably distributing surplus value, this is sadly likely better than not doing so, as more or some money is better than what is perhaps otherwise less or none for an underdeveloped nation like Nepal.

There are plenty of things on slickdeals that are sold cheaply because of cheap labor and never mention anything about who makes it. Don't see the point of nitpicking a statement and making assumptions unless you actually went to the factory yourself.

It's to stick it to "women and minority owned" culture, while pretending to be actually advocating for women and minorities by not supporting a company because they say with no justification that the company isn't actually supporting a local minority.

Obviously the company is lining their pockets with cheap labor from less developed countries, but even the relatively low pay offered by companies like this is better than what would be available if all industries immediately stopped outsourcing to these countries.
