I never thought about buying these before but I can confirm they're convenient to use for campfires. Apparently they're also useful for grill charcoal, maybe I can use this instead of newspaper with my chimney 🤔

For camping I make my own starters with dryer lint and old candle wax in paper egg cartons.

I believe Masterbuilt came out with these primarily to light their gravity series grills. That being said, I use a rolled up paper towel with a little cooking oil on it and mine has never failed to light.

I use these for my MB Gravity grill. I use 1 square and sometimes it starts the fire and sometimes not. 2 will definitely get the fire started. Beforehand I was using the Diamond "Strike A Fires" But most of those the matchstick part would burn then I'd have to relight the rest of the stick lol.

Fwiw, you can get a very similar product from meecos red devil called a surestart in a 144ct from Menards for like $12-13, or a 24ct for $3
