From what I have noticed. Adorama offers exclusive deals to slickdeals via SD staff, like the OP (iconien). You will only see the price if you click the link from slickdeals.
I have seen a few comments with people asking or suggesting specific deals to the SD OP not sure if anything ever came out of it tho. If you are looking for something specific you should try reaching out to the OP and see if he can get a deal on it. Cant hurt.

I am wondering how to find those adorama deals? Why when I directly browse through adorama I can't see those low price?

Does anyone know if this price is relatively close to what you'd pay if you bought this speaker in a surround sound set? I've been eyeing the $500-1000 deals to replace a $200 BF RCA set from ages ago, and it might sting a little less if I can spread it out by acquiring the channels individually...
Can this be used as a stand alone speaker for desktop / TV?
I have the rp-504c and it's huge. This one is probably pretty big too so you wouldn't be able to fit it on a desk to go along with a pc setup.
Technically yes you can use it as a standalone as long as you are aware that it's passive and you will need an amp/receiver to drive it.
Does not have a spectacular bass on its own. I did not really hear the bass until I added a dedicated subwoofer to my setup. Especially not from my center speaker alone.
Shoot saw this pic and went out to measure my trunk. 😂 Sorry had to laugh for a moment it looked like my old sub boxes that I would fill my trunk with. My head already was asking is it 10's or 12's 😂
