The regular buds 2 got quiet really fast because of earwax getting in there. It was difficult to clean, the pro 2 are a bit better in design but still fall out of my ears. I just miss my buds plus with the winged tip.

If you're not in serious need,I'd recommend waiting for those deals to come back. They're 1-2x a year.
On a tangentially related note, the buds plus have been my fav wireless set of all time (not counting semi-wireless like jaybirds). It's been over two years of daily use and the other purchased sets cannot compare for comfort...can anyone recommend 1:1 comparable replacements with similar fit with the wing tips? Brand doesn't matter really ...TIA
Someone please correct me if I am wrong so we can all be accurate here.
I am debating this vs. cheaper asian models that would be a little cheaper, have some type of "warranty", and plan to retire in a year for another pair. Not a sustainable approach, but I seem to see positive feedback on random asian earbuds now and their sound quality.
These (Buds2) were my least favorite as it always falls off. I wish my Buds+ didn't die on me bc it was nearly perfect! Currently happy w/ the Buds2Pro as the fit is much better. Just my 2 cents.

Sound wise ..both are excellent...If the Buds 2 Pro are rated at 100, then the Buds 2 are a 90. That delta of 10 is just oh so satisfying though when you hear the extra bass and clarity/warmth of the vocals of the Buds 2 Pro! But if for some reason you can only get the Buds 2.... you won't be disappointed...it has excellent ANC and I just love the touch controls on galaxy buds.
