Buy another 20 bags when the sale is active, and before you leave the store, just return using your old receipt.

You probably got a lot better deal, too. 30 yards of this stuff would be over $800.

I have rubber mulch around my pool. I wouldn't ever use rubber mulch in an actual garden bed. Wood mulch biodegrades and enriches the soil over time. Rubber mulch just leeches chemicals into the ground and is messy. I hate it.

Thank you! I've been waiting for this. Also, has anyone tried rubber mulch? It's more expensive but is supposed to last longer

It does last. I got brown vigoro and it's on its 3rd year, still looks as new.

My parents have it in their flowerbed in front of their house. It has been there several years and still looks like it did the day they put it down. That side of the house only gets morning sun and not the brutal afternoon stuff, though, which may have contributed to its longevity. It also costs 4X what this stuff does per bag, and it's a smaller bag.

I put it at my previous house and 3 years in still looked like new. 100% would buy again. Smaller bag also easier to handle for those who are a bit older vs the wood mulch.

I did a test of rubber mulch in a side part of my yard. I'm very happy with it and so far it's holding its color 3 years later. I've lost some due to rain runoff so I'll probably add a bag or two this year. It cost 2-3x as much but it's lasted so far and says it has a 12 year color guarantee (can't remember but it could have been 6 years). Even if it lasts half that time it's been worth it. One down side is your yard will smell like rubber for a month or so.
Also, I put down landscape fabric underneath. I've had basically 0 weeds 3 years in a spot I was getting weeds every 2 weeks.
The brown look is not what I want for the rest of my yard (love the look of fresh pine straw) so I haven't swapped other parts to rubber.
I say give it a shot and try it out. It is pricy but should last long enough to at least pay for itself

Lowe's has the nature scape mulch same price but they're 1.5 cubic feet per bag. I need 3 cubic yards for my place and this is cheaper than getting it delivered by the landscape company down the road from me. We've been patiently waiting for this deal.
