Waiting for someone to confirm it works with Tesla sentry mode in Cold weather .....thanks
This SSD has a rated operating temperature of: 32 °F - 140 °F.
Endurance SD Cards have a much wider operating temperature range: -13 °F – 185 °F
Example, SanDisk Extreme Pro or Samsung PRO Endurance used in dashcams have this range.
And Premium USB thumb drives, like the OE one by Samsung your Tesla came with, even wider operating temperature range: -40 °F – 185 °F
An SSD has the narrowest operating temperature range of the three technologies you could use for your Tesla (USB thumb drive > SD Card > SSD). In that case, I'd say no, don't use this SSD.

Very appreciated your comments. Its very educational. I have 250MB Samsung Endurance SD but it got full too quick. It guess i have to work with thay.
depends on what you care more, additional drop and dust/moisture protection, or finger print scanner for encryption/decryption.
Do note the other T7s can do encryption too but password based only. Also the rugged ones are noticeably bigger than the one from this post, but still much smaller than even the 2.5" HDDs
I bought this from Costco for $150 a couple of months ago but returned it for Sandisk which I could get for under $110.

So, this will be plugged in directly just like the USB it comes with for Sentry?

I purchased one from earlier this month and was able to get price adjustment.
I use it as an external drive for Final Cut Pro X and it's been very impressive. It's extremely small and light which is a big plus for me.
Enjoy!
