Seems to be a $50 discount on any oven. Not sure what the purchase minimum is.

Is the Karu12G a big enough upgrade over this that it's worth the extra cost?

Are the pellets convenient enough to go with the Fyra vs the Karu?

Its a good price, but having the glass attached door is worth the extra $200. Having to remove the front and put it down somewhere is not great. The glass door on the G is bettwr

gas option will always be better than wood/coal/pellets for the simple fact that you just turn on the gas and go.

with wood/coal/pellets, you have to get the fire going, maintain it, make sure there is good airflow, add more fuel and do it all day. if you are a camper or travel alot, sometimes carrying around a propane tank is not easy so people tend to use wood/coal/pellets as fuel.

Well this would never leave the backyard. Kinda want the wood fired taste vs a gas burner.

Do the pellets burn like wood?

Check youtube for people using pellets/wood on their ooni. You wont get the full taste of wood when making pizza. The wood/pellets are just used for heat, not smoke. Its not like smoking meat or chicken for 60mins+ and having taste like smoke.

B/c you are burning the wood/pellets at such high temps, you dont get the white smoke that need to impart smoke flavor to whatever you are cooking.

Agree with the person above me, pizzas cook so fast and hot you really are not going to get a wood fired taste to it.

I bought it this week and I'd highly recommend getting a propane tank. I tried buying the wood and going down that route and it has been a mess. Hard to make pizzas, put them in, maintain the heat, turn them, and consume. Ordered the propane attachment that's another $99, but I think it'll be worth it.

The pellets burn very easy not sure if it is like wood but the fire that it produces is similar to wood burning

just keep in mind with wood, you need a coal bed or kindling to start the fire so its hot enough to fire up the wood chunks. and the wood, you will need to get buy them in small chunks or cut them down to size so they fit and catch fire quickly.

not sure if you ever bbq'ed with only wood, you need good airflow and nice dry wood to it burns well.
