I'm waiting for $380 lol. Nvme has dropped in price SIGNIFICANTLY this year. Why haven't 2.5" SSDs dropped as much?

My guess would be that nvme devices are typically limited by your motherboard in the consumer market so people are buying these for high capacity storage. 2.5in ssds have dropped in the lower storage classes where there are a bunch of affordable options. To be honest there are also not that many 8tb m.2 ssds and you can fit many more sata drives in a case

You can now get it for less than $350! It's $387 on Samsung.com if you select the EDU store (they don't verify education credentials for SSDs). Plus there is 10% cb on r me not, bringing it down to $348.3 + tax on $387. I also had a $25 gift code they sent me for registering a new samsung phone 100 days ago, so my total was under $350 with tax and after cb. Couldn't resist at that price!
