Features:
  • Intel Threat Detection Technology: Windows Security boosts ransomware protection by integrating Intel's hardware-based ransomware detection technology. It helps to expose ransomware as it attempts to avoid detection in memory. This enablement also allows us to use Intel TDT machine learning models, which are only found on Intel Core processors, to assist with the detection of threats using advanced evasion techniques, including zero-day variants, binary obfuscation, cloaking in a virtual machine, and fileless attacks, while keeping overall system performance
  • Advanced Machine Learning: In addition to ESET Machine Learning in the cloud, this proactive layer runs locally. It is specifically designed to detect advanced, never seen before malware, while having a low impact on performance.
  • Parental Control: Gives you the option to choose from predefined categories according to the age of your kids.

Damn wish I hadn't already bought Wxpress VPN and installed it on my router.

Might buy it anyway just for ESET.

Does anyone know if 3 of the devices have to be Android?

Cause the email I got after purchasing has this link:

Manufacturer Redemption
ESET MultiDevice Security 3PC + 3 Android Download
ESET MultiDevice Security - Download

I installed the license to ESET home and it just says "6 devices", no mention of 3 having to be Android, so not sure.

Good question, tho I think that redemption statement isn't accurate.
I've bought 5 user licenses several times in the past and all along, and I've used all sorts of combinations between PC and mobile devices (4 PC & 1 mobile, 2 PC and 3 mobiles) (etc).I bought this 6 user feeling pretty confident it will be the same versatility and see no reason why they'd change that.

If you have a Capital One card, they usually have a ridiculous deal on a 2-year NordVPN subscription if you don't need the antivirus. You just log into your Cap One account and look in the marketplace

is there a list of features vs thier other products? "multi-device security" isn't very clear on what it does.

Yes. I do it all the time.
I've bought both products even a year or two in advance, when there's a deal and used them the following year when my current Eset and Nord come to their expiration date.

Multi-device security is identical to their Internet Security and has all the features of that. Just that this product allows for multi-devices & multi-users.

Do you add on to your current subscription or you have to wait until it expires first?

I've always waited until the last day or so.
On many renewals like this it won't 'extend' your subscription and it will end the current one when you load the new product key.
Nord 'may' extend it, but I don't take that chance as it's easy for me to load the new key when the old one is expiring.

Just activate it when current one expires

Will multi-device go cheaper without the VPN at some point?
