Hulu will no longer exist by Thanksgiving, it's being merged with Disney+ once Comcast forces Disney to buy the last 1/3 of Hulu.

That is not at all confirmed. All we know is that Hulu as we know it will be gone this year.
I guess the CEO, Bob Iger, saying exactly that is not enough for confirmation.First paragraph of the website I attached

"A "one-app experience" that combines Disney+ and Hulu content will launch in late 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced during the company's latest earnings call. He said the company will continue offering Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ as standalone options, but combining services "is a logical progression" of its direct-to-consumer offerings "that will provide greater opportunities for advertisers, while giving bundle subscribers access to more robust and streamlined content..."

I get Hulu with ads free with T-mobile. They are LOUD. But, they give a timer in the corner so they can be muted strategically.

This just reminded me that I have a Hulu subscription I got from last year's deal that I never used.

Hulu is not a good value - I'm cancelling after Black Friday deal expires - and Disney plus with Iger in charge is going to release way less content after they slashed their streaming budget and are increasing prices - frankly there are much better values on netflix, prime and even apple+ these days

Depends on your tolerance for ads they can get annoying but me personally I was able to tolerate them and still enjoy the shows but of course that's going to vary from viewer to viewer Smilie

I'd argue it's a great way to try hulu out and see if it's for you (just make sure to note on google calendar or whatever with a pop up reminder to cancel before the $2/month subscription is up) .. they have a lot of great FX and AMC and ABC shows and if you're an anime fan they're a lot cheaper than say crunchyroll. Give Handmaid's Tale , Only Murders in the Building , What We Do in the Shadows and The Bear a try (I admittedly have not Smilie but they're supposed to be really good) .. I think Fargo season one

What I have watched on hulu and can definitely recommend are Killing Eve (seasons one, two and three apparently season 4 is "meh") , The Americans, Fargo season one for sure, Archer (if you haven't yet start watching it's freaking hilarious) , Hit Monkey especially and Abbott Elementary.

If you're an anime fan check out Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, One Punch Man, and Kill La Kill (that last one . I'm conflicted there's a lot of "cheesecake" which could be not fun for female viewers to watch and which sadly seems to be a staple of anime in general nowadays - Attack on Titan being a notable exception - but I still see it as possibly one of if not the best anime series I've ever watched.. stick with it past the first few episodes and you'll see what I mean).
And bleach thousand year blood war.

Yeah, they're just obnoxiously long, and they play the same ads over and over. I couldn't take it.

I've had the ad version before from a cheap deal like this. Couldn't handle watching it on my fire stick because trying to watch anything serious and commercials would cut it and the worst times and they wouldn't match the vibe of the show, so it completely killed the momentum and pulled me out of the emotional state that the show worked to put me in. Not to mention it seemed like 70% of the ads I got were the same prostate cancer medication ad of an older attractive cishet couple surfing and holding hands down the beach. If I'm going to be forced to watch ads, it would be nice if occasionally one actually felt targeted and relevant to me.

The account was useful on my laptop because the AdBlocker would replace every commercial with a 1 second fade to black between scenes.

Ad blockers work pretty good. I only see a bar loading for maybe 3 seconds whenever an ad is supposed to be playing.
