There is a self parking garage across the street. It twenty something per day. Cheaper if you pay for the week.

I stayed there for a week a couple of months ago.

It is an okay place to stay, but don't go there with the expectation that the hotel is going to be on par with typical Hyatt standards. It's fairly old and run-down once you get past the front desk, housekeeping would come extremely late (sometimes around 7-8pm), and fresh breakfast was only served every other day (microwaved Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches were served on the other days).

That said, most people aren't there to hang out in a hotel room. If you are content with a comfortable bed and convenient location, this hotel is perfectly fine.

I rented from this place https://www.onesrentacarhawaii.com/ in 2021

and they have a parking lot walking distance from this Hyatt which I stayed at. Caveat is you need to be back by 6pm and it opens at 8, or 9. I forgot. Worked well for me as we only needed car for the visits to polynesia village, jurassic park and some hikes so able to come back to waikiki early enough.
I just sucks I bring 5+ days worth of stuff and I have to walk it around the block just to check in.

Not sure I would recommend. They have 1 elevator for the entire side of a hotel so it takes a long time to get a ride

Just left Oahu last week. We stayed on the other side of the island and ventured over to Waikiki. What a mess. Mass people. Traffic. No place to park. That's not Hawaii (at least not the Hawaii I go for).

Whatever you do for a rental car, DO NOT rent from Hertz. 2.5 hour wait to get your car. And was told it's like that every day at Hertz Honolulu.

That's my Public Service Message for you.

Breakfast included and is decent, but the selections are limited and repeated every 2 days or so. Lots of pineapple 🍍.

The most touristy island.
The only island with established gangs
The only place that doesn't feel like you are on an island

If you've never been to HI is ok ..try it for few days but if you ever been to HI you'll be disappointed
You make it sound like the entire island of Oahu is like Honolulu. It isn't.
Get out of Honolulu and the island is beautiful. Kauai was our "go-to" but prices on Kauai are out of control. You can find good deals outside of Honolulu on the east side and it's as beautiful as you expect.

Where is Biden with his promises to get rid of bogus fees and resort fees and other mandatory hidden fees ?

I remember airlines were getting like this about a decade ago and they passed laws that price needs to include all fees. Then they figured out they can charge for luggage and seat selecttion but at least the ticket price is ticket price no more hidden fees with airlines.

Once I started staying at vacation rentals in Hawaii I will never go back to a regular hotel. They are about the same price but they are much larger (especially the lanai), you know exactly where you'll be staying and what your view is, and they usually include a lot of extras (chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers, cooking equipment, etc. Plus there's usually private parking that is free. I just booked a trip to Oahu and the Big Island and all 3 of my places have stunning views, huge lanais, and easy walking access to the beach. Just my 2 cents.

Wrong X 100. When I go to Oahu I never even go to Waikiki. I usually stay in the North Shore or the East Shore. It's a very diverse and beautiful island. You need to explore more.

The 4 times I've been to Oahu, any place in the island is busy. Sure, north shore is slightly less busy, but it's still crazy busy. We do have some spots on north shore we do love though. Waikiki is wack.

Our favorite island is the big island followed by Kauai. It's been 4 years since we were there but from what I've read, prices are out of control. Rental car prices are sky high. I did check on the vrbos we booked and they also increased in price, which isn't surprising. We probably won't be back anytime soon. Not to mention, Europe is closer for us from the east coast. Time to cross the pond and explore.

I have stayed at this hotel. Near the beach but don't expect great views.

Parking is expensive. I parked across the street, but it was tight spaces there.

Breakfast is good but same everyday. Not great for vegetarians.
