Ideal anything + human nature = zero chance. Historical bad guys didn't gain power by accident. Exploitation is pervasive and historically prevalent.

Yep, exactly my point. Capitalism isn't special and inherently immune.

I'm pretty happy with the free built-in Microsoft Windows 11 Defender, so I'm not looking at the antivirus. But the VPN service intrigues me.

$15 a year for a decent VPN service is cheap, should I get this? How does Kaspersky VPN compare to NordVPN? I need to be able to torrent via VPN also.

Can this be stacked? I was able to stack up to 3 years on a previous deal that's about to expire.

If you are a nobody with no goals of being anything important in life, then you can take the risk of running this piece of malware. If on the other hand you are somebody, plan or have family members who could become important members of society, then don't. You would never know, but they could build a nice blackmail file on you based on the scanning of all the files and websites you use in your computer. They have done it in the past, just read up on how they got the US hacking tools. Because some idiot used this antivirus and did work on his home computer. .
Hysterical, truly.

I know you're just unwittingly regurgitating propaganda that you've been subjected to all your life, but let's just try to break down what you're saying and look at it logically. Let's assume that this is Russian spyware. How does it make it any worse than US spyware from Facebook and Google? The Russian government has literally zero power over you, there is absolutely nothing they can possibly do to you aside from launching a nuclear bomb over your city in case World War 3 breaks out. You as an American living in USA are completely safe from the Russian government unless there is a nuclear war. If they spy on you and learn your shopping habits or your political opinions, there is nothing they can do with it whatsoever.

The US government on the other hand has a long and distinguished, proven track record of spying on its own citizens and then using it against them for doing or saying things the government doesn't like. They have sent the IRS to investigate and prosecute people for having the wrong political beliefs (proven in 2020). They will silencing you on social media (deplatform you), they will send the local DA to investigate you for crimes you may or may not have committed, the police can and will seize your cash in "civil forfeiture" as has happened countless times all over the country. Google it, it's all verifiable what the US government routinely does to its own citizens in open mockery of our supposed "constitutional rights".

We don't recommend using Kaspersky Antivirus, because there might be security issues related to its user identification ties to the Russian secret services.Mar 21, 2023

I've been using Kaspersky for over 10 years without any issues what's so ever. I trust Eugene Kaspersky than any US alphabet government agency as they are 100% corrupt to their core. For all you people talking about contributing to "mother Russia" explain the spying on presidential campaign and the plot to bring down a sitting president. Kaspersky has never done anything remotely similar.
