While it is pretty cold and dark there over the winter, the temps really aren't much worse than NYC or Boston.
Very overrated and expensive country for general tourists, IMO, but fantastic outdoors activities, especially if you enjoy some isolation.
I have 3 good friends there and let's just say there's a reason that 80%+ of all icelanders live elsewhere. Great in small doses. Bucket list for winter might be skiing near Akureyri (close to arctic circle), maybe doing the whole ring road in a week and staying 1-2 nights in a few of the smaller towns.
Dumbest comment of this thread, right here.
sure.
when you get the rest of the world to change this reference (if you want to be technical) then i'll follow. but for now, it is.

Great deal,👍,
Last time we went iceland for $99 with Wow airlines....time flying too fast ...
From WoW to Play, they won't last long.
Use better credit card to make payment, but nowadays credit card won't dispute transaction over 120 days....

Not exactly true. There are certain rules set by the associations (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) that the banks need to follow. Typically you do have a limited timeline to dispute but if the flight hasn't happened and the airline goes bankrupt, it can definitely be disputed. It would be considered non receipt of service/merchandise...and the clock starts with the expected date of delivery.

Although there are not a lot of man made sightseeing opportunities, I love that country. A photographer's dream and the place looks like out of this planet!
