Actually, the price did go down to 1099 for a pair as OP posted for a few hours BUT when I saw it, it was already temporarily out of stock - I did place an order at 1099. Still waiting on the order to get filled after a week! hoping they will come back in stock - if they don't come back in stock I think Amazon will just cancel my order
