Got excited for a good price on XR oscillating and reciprocating saws until I noticed they were 12V line 🤮
Honestly none of the 20V prices are great. Unless you are still holding on to a discontinued product line, there's no reason to buy 12V Dewalt in 2023.

I understand why you wouldnt want 12v but you are wrong that its been discontinued. They brought it back a few years back and the tools you are seeing are all newer 12v stuff. They been pushing it more and its at lowes on display and all. Dewalt 12v Xtreme is all newer products. They have been competing with it with some solid prices and promos. Definitely cheaper then the 20v that not all ppl may need

Most of the 12v tools are similar size to their 20v counter parts though, so why not get a huge power increase for minimal size increase. If you want small + power Milwaukee is the way to go. My $0.02 as a DeWalt guy haha.

Wow, I definitely missed them introducing the 12V line. I thought they were making a point to stick with one platform, hence the flexvolt for more powerful tools and the Atomic for lightweight tools. Didn't realize they were swayed to ditch that by some competitors.
That said, sales must be weak if these are already being dumped off on Woot at steep discounts. I'm definitely wrong, but I still stand by this being mostly meh deals and to spend a few bucks more for the much more capable 20V tools. Especially if you are aiming for XR. I can't imagine the use case for a 12V saw.

Not sure if this is as good - a 4 and 6, charger and bag for $129.

I just shove icepacks in my pants. The frostbite burns on my nuts are a concern sure, but I stay frosty and cool.
