Edit: Goggle of part number is actually the 2,500 nails, so should be good to go

Are these any good for standard fence pickets? Or do I need 2 inch long nails and drive in at an angle?

Not a fence expert but know a bit of it. The 16 gauge nail is more for some trims. Fence needs 0.092" nails to fasten not this kind of 16 gauge or 0.065" although this Dewalt nail is also galvernized. Wind could be very strong to blow away the fence board if fastened by 16-gauge nails.

For fence pickets, you will need the round head galvanize nails. Nope, these nails are for finishing like baseboards, trim, etc.
