So, I've had to disagree. I've had a Go Pet club tree for about 7 -8 years and it's held up pretty well against 4 megalodon-sized felines.

I will admit, I'm tired of the ads
exactly this! all these posts are exhausting.

Maybe chewy should have some better sales for existing customers that aren't just based on getting a gift card to use for future purchases. Esp when you cannot use the giftcard for future deals where you get a gift card. Been getting most my catfood on Amazon as they have better deals paying less up front.
They're all ads that Chewy is paying SD for. Hardly any of the posted stuff is a sale price (except sometimes for food). And the "regular price" for stuff like this is bogus... most has never been sold at that price.

You can literally make a "deal" for every single item on Chewy and say "create a new account and use promo code WELCOME" ...

It looks like the ones made back then were much better. Some 1-star reviews:

"Made for kittens!
I'm so disappointed in this tree. Perches are WAY too small for my cats."

"I didn't want to have to drag a heavy cat tree up the stairs so I decided to order one and put it together. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it. There were the right number of supports but they didn't all fit. . I was very careful to use the ones as indicated in the instructions but it still came out like a leaning tower. My cat loves it but I will need to replace it as he grows because it isn't stable. I won't buy another one"

"Wanted to love it, but wobbly
I waited for a few months to see if my cat would warm up to it but he does not go on top at all and rarely ever goes on the bottom. there used to be a dresser in that spot that he would use to get on top of the cabinets (he loved it up there) got this for him thinking it would be easier for him to get up there but it's too wobbly, he will not get up on it"

"Bad Choice
this cat tree fell apart after less than a week. The one I had previously purchased from Chewy a few years ago was virtually the same thing and had no problems with."

"My tree came and I put it together accordingly. Wasn't right. Tried disassembling and switching around thinking maybe I did it backward. Reassembled again. To find out that I got either a piece cut wrong or carpeted wrong because it doesn't fit together right to place the second ramp correctly. I was so excited about this and my cat isn't able to get to the top. Wasted my money."

The support posts are made of cheap cardboard and are far too thin.

And they have a tendency to cancel the popular orders once they get the new sign ups. Tried it a few times.

I can't even place an order on Chewy anymore. It gets flagged for fraud every time, no matter the payment method. I call to verify and then it gets cancelled the next day.

I assume it's because I've created so many accounts, but it'd be nice if they'd just say that.

Whenever I tried to create a new account, it would get flagged then canceled. It's not that easy any more. I just use my main account now, there aren't any more shortcuts to deals.
