I've been working on PC build and chose ~$299 7700x over ~$207 7600x on sale from Newegg. The 7600x is better value, but really wanted the 8 core/16 thread for non gaming applications. Thanks for posting. Lots of sale computer parts this weekend.

I skipped the Newegg one altogether due to unacceptable customer satisfaction and chose this over the $219 7600 (non-x)+Fan.

Although I will likely buy the case from Newegg due to $10 savings over ~$70; wish me luck. (what can go wrong with a PC case anyway?

Edit: almost bought it; will go with the non-X Ryzen 5; will use $80 for upgrades. Reason: it has been at this price for a few days now according to CCC.

can get 7900X 12 core for $290-$330 according to ebay sold listings in last 14 days

I'm in the same boat. For 1440p, from what I've researched this should be more than good enough. However if you have a bomb GPU(4090 or 7900XT)7800X3D would be a better fit for the build.

They are in something like 17 states now. I think they've opened a few new ones lately. Definitely a requirement for where I live.
