With the driver updates the A750 outperforms both those cards.

Go look at a recent GPU review like Gamers Nexus' 4060 Ti review, and youll see that in nearly every benchmark the A750 is ahead of the 3060 and 6600 xt. Raw FPS aside, the A750 outperforms the 6600 XT in RT and in trading blows with the 3060. You also get AV1 encoding, which neither of those cards can do, and better H.264 encoding quality and speed than the competition too.

Now dont get me wrong, the card isnt perfect. Nvidia still has the best drivers and AMD has a better control panel, but those drivers are also so mature that you wont see continual gains in performance like we have with Arc.

Finally, go look at how Nvidia and AMD are pricing their new generations of GPUs, and how bad some of them are (like the 4060 Ti). I am happy to support a third company, that has competitive products (low-midrange) because I'm sick of AMD and Nvidia trying to milk us. I already bought an A750 for my brothers build and have been happy with it.

Found this on reddit regarding the high idle power consumption:

"Intel has already said that this issue cannot be fixed by software. It's rooted in the architecture of the chip. They said the issue will be addressed in the next generation of Arc, maybe the Alchemist+ refresh or the Battlemage."

I pretty much lost interest in getting this...

I read a re-review on this thing just yesterday. There are still some lingering compatibility issues, but this thing otherwise hangs with RTX 3060 ($300) and RX 6600 ($210). I think I would probably go with the RX 6600 if it were me, if just for the compatibility reasons, but the A750 is a lot stronger in ray-tracing performance (if you care about that in a $200 card).

Either way, it's nice to see $200 cards that run modern games well at 1080p.

Most of the games I play are older titles so I can't really enjoy this but if I could there's no way I would not, what a card

On older drivers, DX9 and DX11 performance suffered a lot indeed. With the latest drivers though, you should be fine so long as rebar is enabled. Intel have coveted these improvements in one of their official videos on YT.

Too bad the Arc 770 16gb isn't dropping under $300. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. With all the RTX 4060 and RX 7600 talk that's been going on for the past week. And after hours of reading, the general consensus is that the 6650xt, 6700 non xt 10gb, and the 6700xt are the best value to performance right now and the stock on those will probably dry up sooner rather than later.

So yesterday I pulled the trigger on the Sapphire Pulse non xt 6700 10gb for $300 after tax. It seemed to be the best compromise between price, performance, and compatibility with the system I built a couple years ago.

I'm more interested in its potential transcoding abilities for emby and it's infuriating trying to figure out if it works properly with it. Ugh.

I mean, you'd think it would blow quicksync out of the water but I'm... not... finding... that...

I'll have to pass until I know more...

Don't buy this card. I'm a big PC building enthusiast. Built a PC for my 7year old son with an A750. I'm now looking to replace this card with something from Nvidia. Card crashes all the time, my son mainly plays Fortnite and Minecraft. Really annoying, don't waste your money imo.

I own the A380 and I play DX9 and DX11 games with no problems. I've been playing Saints Row 3 and Agents of Mayhem on it with no problems. I get about 45 fps on AoM on 1080p high for a 6GB card. Saints Row 3 I get like 75fps on 1080p high. Xcom EU runs just as good as my 1070ti, and I get like 250 fps in Left for Dead 2. I also get 75fps in Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway, and this is on the weakest Arc card.

If I didn't already own an Arc 380 I would pick this card up in a heartbeat!

Doubt it's the card. My brother has one in a new build that's been rock solid on dozens of games. Might be a defect or compatability issue with another part.

Reviews look good.

Also has AV1 encoding which at this price is kind of a big deal.

Here's a Reddit thread and a review of the card:

Works just fine for me, must be user error.
