Southwest is only worth it if you book way in advance, need those two checked bags, and need the freedom to change/cancel your flight.

Their one way flights are as much as round trip flights on American. What's the point of it being that expensive

Welp from Dallas I can go to Lubbock, Amarillo, or Midland/Odessa. For a little more at $94 the options really open up which isn't to bad if I want to go to the east or west coasts

I'm usually one to defend's SW, but this latest standard Tuesday email promo is trash and in no way anything slick. SW's prices are presently some of the highest I've ever seen.

The point is advertise one low fare to get you to visit their site, search around and find nothing, but hope you see another flight that's more and get you to buy. Sales techniques and it worked because they got your cookie info after you visited

Remind me again why there are no low-cost airlines in the US?

In Europe, there are dozens routes where you can occasionally find €10 tickets. And you dont have to book months in advance

One of the perks of living in Europe. Damn, I still remember flying for €10 from Hamburg to Barcelona. Booked 1-2 weeks in advance. Aside from saving money, you just feel good

In America, everything is built around corporations and for profit
