4.5 out of 5 stars by reviews, and I know I love mine. It doesn't remove as much metal as many electrics, but sharpens to a crazy sharp edge. Not for use with 15-degree asian-style knives.
  • Sharpens both straight edge and serrated knives to better than factory sharpness (at 20 degrees)
  • Two stage sharpener with precision angle control
  • 100% diamond abrasives in stage 1 and 2
  • Advanced micron size 100% diamonds in Stage 2
  • Fast, foolproof results

According to Consumer Reports: "The Presto EverSharp produces sharp knives, even if it lacks the refinement of the Chef's Choice electric sharpener. It features two sharpening stages... and can't be used on serrated knives. And somehow, it felt both overly aggressive in terms of how much metal it removes—yet underpowered. It bogged down several times, stopping the motor entirely until I removed the knife from the guides and started again."

But if you are happy with what you have now, stick with it!

So I did my own research as well and the biggest difference I saw was that the presto uses a stone wheel to grind and sharpen while the chefs choice uses diamond wheels. This explains the reduction of blades and the lack of refinement from the presto. Aka I always have to use another sharpening system to make its better
