Most likely it will leave some soap residue on the skin meaning a higher chance of skin trouble. I will stick to the real shower for my dog

Nah. I've used it countless of times on upholstery and shag carpets. There's a water only rinse feature. I have yet to see any residual soap by trying to wet and scrub to see any trace of foam or lather. If you do, then you just aren't using it correctly or rinsing properly.

I own this. This is decent but won't replace an actual bath by any means. It's better than just dry shampoo. And the area where you use it does get a little messy with water drips.
