XPS is the high end professional line (stiffer chassis, better build quality). Most of them come with integrated graphics. Occasionally you might see a 50 series dGPU in them.

Alienware is their gaming line.

I just scored a 13" XPS Plus (Like New) with the 13th Gen 1360P from Dell Outlet for $1044 (with 12% coupon savings). Dell claims XPS Plus with 1360P is twice as fast as the 12th gen. I am not sure about that claim, but I think it should show considerable improvements. Keep an eye on outlet, it keeps coming in and out. Here's the 12% coupon - 725612XPS

if you have an AMEX Business Card, you might get 20% off at Dell.com/amex like I have making this $720. Very tempted.

But at the same time, I could get a better processor Samsung for around 800 without any coupons.

this is a piece of crap product. service is horrible. i purchased xps13 and it has all the hardware and software issues u can think of. runs slow, fan noise, mother board issues, screen issues, OS issue.. and so on.. i spent all weekends to talk to dell support. the worst and stupid customer service u can ever experience. they ask for all product details and route me to different department. they just ruined my days and spent money for the product that doesnt work. so good luck if u just count the thumbs up and buy this product

Purchased from HP around Black Friday .edu discount. I missed the AMD laptop on the slickdeals and browsed around and found the 14" intel Z-Book FireFly G9 with1260P, 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM for ~$700+taxes. The 1240P (or sth similar, U series as well) were around $550+taxes. It lasted several hours with several different discount % that kepep changing randomly for whatever reason. At some point it got that cheap and I ordered it. Usually the best I've seen it was around $1,300.
The G9 has both SSD and RAM replaceable, it comes with 3-year warranty. The newer G10 has RAM soldered, I think.
Wow. You scored. Thanks for the response. Hopefully a deal like that pops in the near future. I've got a M1 MacBook Air but my school requires a windows machine. I can hold off for a killer deal like that since I also have a work laptop I can use.

Keep in mind if you use Gmail that you can add or remove a period in your alias and still receive the message in the same account., without having to sign up for another. For example, if your email is joeschmoe at gmail.com, just use joe.schmoe or even jo.eschmoe at gmail.com.

For what it's worth I just got a scratch and dent XPS 13 from dell outlet and I am not certain where the scratch or dent was. - so if you are wondering if you should pull the trigger on that sort of option I would do it. i THINK i feel a slight imperfection on the bottom but it's not noticeable (and even if it was its on the bottom!).

I was able to use the 12% discount code listed here and ultimately scored an XPS 13 9315 w/ 32 gb ram, 1 TB SSD, 12th gen i7 1250U non-touch for $740 bucks before tax i'm so happy.
