Does this bypass the wait list? My family moved two weeks ago and didn't realize till after they moved in that the house has no internet lol.

edit: just tried setting it up at my sister's home and unless we choose "Roaming" for $150 a month, we can use it here in southern Missouri.

I thought the wait list was as much about avoiding overprovisioning as it was any hardware supply chain issues. I guess so much for that, and they will oversell it and it will suck for everybody.

And the support is competent but wait times are ridiculous. This can't help that either.

Looks like they'll only ship to certain states and ask you to verify service plans are available in your area. Even if you manage to get the hardware not sure how easy it would be to get it operating if your address technically isn't supported yet.

Golden rule for anyone in the midwest or not in a mega-city:

First question about *any* potential house purchase - Does. It. Have. Internet.

Nobody with any option for fixed wired internet should be even looking at Starlink.

Ok, but with Starlink and the federal money pumped into some wireless internet providers, the list of houses without it would be pretty small.
Been there done that many times. We'll agree to disagree.

Some of the people commenting here do not understand that the people buying Starlink are obviously going to be paying more because they have no other option. If you have other options, it's not a chance to get a teaser rate like you are hopping phone companies.
