I struggle with calluses on the balls of my feet. I bought this a few days ago hoping it would be better than my current file and it arrived today. I would say this is at best a light duty foot file. If you have heavy calluses or want something that will do the job quickly, I would avoid this one. Probably best suited to touching up your feet in a daily/weekly routine. Does not take off much excess callus without A LOT of effort.

Walmart had/has something called a Holy File. Basically a contoured piece of plastic with aggressive abrasive material glued on. It's the best I've found at removing calluses without rubbing on your feet for 20 minutes. Not shilling just trying to help anyone with similar issues.
I have a tailors bunion (the outside of my foot). I tried a glass thing made by the brand Onyx and it's for more refined smoothing... didn't like it.

There's an equate callous rasp ($9 Walmart) that's been doing wonders for me. Shaves off the skin after several passes. I do it after the shower when the skins soft. If you want to remove lots of skin get a good rasp.

Worked for me, $5.61 out the door.

Might be dependent on whether you've used other coupons recently, I've seen a lot of insole deals.

So does that mean this things wears down easily? If one month is the most commonly S&S selection.

ped egg is exactly like a cheese grater. am always fearful of accidentally shredding into the soft skin underneath

If you need something like this, I can pretty much guarantee that what you really need is to start taking Vitamin D. I used to have horrible callus's on my heels, now I never have that problem.

Don't worry, I think you'll really feel it when that starts to happen.

Can you elaborate. Did you get tested? How long before you saw a change?

I don't remember how long it took, but I think you would see results in a couple weeks. My heels needed to be filed daily before I started taking vitamin D twice daily.

I also had confirmation in another way. A friend had really horrible feet. He accepted a job where he worked outside most of the time in Japan which has a nicer (nicer than MN) climate, when he came back to MN his feet were soft as baby butts. It is rare to get enough Vitamin D naturally as we aren't outside as much and when we are we often wear sunscreen. I either discovered this by accident or read it somewhere.
