I just ordered one to replace my 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300, i7, GTX1660ti. I've been using that older system with the lid down all day every day since purchase (external KVM) with no overhearing issues. I loaded it with extra 3TB of sad. I also run Fortnite for hours each day on the system at epic settings (only FHD though).
I know this one is different spec and manufacturer but hoping my chances are good! With the generous return policy, you really can't lose.
I was planning on doing that, but some reviews pointed out that one of the main air exhaust vents is between the keyboard and screen, making it better for thermals to leave the lid open. I'm still going to use as a desktop replacement, I just need to find a spot where I can leave the lid cracked open a bit to help with heat dissipation.

It is shipped in retail slim box, with brown paper sleeve on it. Smallest packaging I've ever seen for a laptop box. They are playing loose with the safety of it shipped.
