Anyway, I've got some questions (sorry if this has been answered - I did try searching):
1) We got the phone in-store yesterday, and I just realized that when the Costco rep handed us the phone, that's all they gave us (the phone in a box). No separate AppleCare+ "package". Is it already tied to her new phone, or did they forget to give us something?
2) Some have discussed "returning" the AppleCare+ via a chat with Apple, so as to save ~$135.. I'm leaning towards doing that (still undecided). Can someone please provide more details around the specific steps I need to follow for that?
3) How much time do I have to decide if I want to return the AppleCare+?
4) If I were to "return" the AppleCare+ today, what happens if we later (sometime within Costco's 90-day return window) decided to return the phone?
2. Just call Apple support and tell them you would like to cancel AppleCare+ linked with your phone and they will guide you with their next steps.
3. I believe it's within 30 days.
4. I am not sure about this as well but I think Costco would return the full amount you paid them as they may not be able to check AppleCare+ status. But it's an ethical question you may want to ask yourself.
