Long story short, it is never going to be as crisp as a normsal display with similar brightness and contrat ratio, even when it is turned off. Now, for users with higher privacy orientation, that is useful but for others, not so much. In the latest generation, it is considerably better than last implementations but still behinds a 500 nits normal IPS display.

yeah the display on this will be disappointing but this is still an excellent value for a laptop this good in every other area.

500 nits is industry leading brightness. few laptop displays are brighter. Absolutely nothing "normal" about it (other than resolution.)

a person really has to wonder WHY..hmmmmm. why would Lenovo sell some of their items for such discounted prices on eBay? ... but not for the same pricing on their own website (or even less, because fewer fees for them). hmmmm

I'll take it as they won't stand behind them for more than 90 days

That person is probably only you. Lenovo, for any other brands on that regard, offer a lot of discounts in their eBay store, resulting cheaper price than what they're offering oion their web store. This comes with exact same warranty as the Lenovo Store offer for this exact model, one year onsite. Probably you missed that because of your search for Consipracy theories.
