I bought this about a week ago and, for the money, it seems to be solid. 12th gen P series i7, ddr5 ram in dual channel, 1tb gen 4 SSD, 400 nit screen @ 90hz. Everything else below 1300 seems to be missing something. This isn't perfect but it's good in a lot of ways, and it's got an automatic keyboard backlight! Off, automatic, low, high. It's not in any of the documentation and I found it on accident.

I will likely go to Costco and buy this today unless SD Nation comes in and tells me why this hasn't been the best deal posted this weekend. (Other than finding the same specs with a higher-tier graphics card.)
I believe someone mentioned broken hinge with 7i model, but that was 1 person, haven't heard it anywhere else, usually it's flex and ideapad models.

I haven't used it extensively enough to have solid info, but with 60hz (it's 90hz out of the box) and auto brightness I haven't been disappointed yet.
It is a touchscreen and has touc and pen settings. Best I can do for you.

Why would you have to use Costco credit card in store? That's incorrect.
You can use any visa credit card in store (along with any debit card or cash) and any credit or debit card online . Regardless of whether you bought it in store or online and regardless of what form of payment you use, you will get 2nd year of warranty through Costco. Costco has stopped the additional free warranty (on top of your free 2nd year) when using the Costco credit card.

It wouldn't have made much sense to use any other Visa in store if it still had the feature. I corrected my original post.
there's also this deal from a few days ago. same slim 7i, 120hz display, 1340p instead of 1260p, plus there was cb 10-15% a few days ago. even without cb, the other codes (SURPRISEOFFER & SURPRISE5) still bring price down to a bit lower than this one
