I have this watch - paid over $200 for it. They promised it would support the new Wear OS which is one of the reasons I bought it. Turns out no? They forgot about us?
Overall the watch is so-so. It doesn't compare to my old Huawei watch, though. That thing was beautiful.
At this price it's a contender, but still feel kinda meh about it.

I felt like I dodged a bullet by sending mine back after questioning if they'd fix the broken and underdeveloped software.

Compared to my watch5 pro. I do like the TicWatch smaller footprint and battery life. The screen and ui are pretty snappy. I upgraded to the watch 5 after seeing the TicWatch wasn't getting the latest os (even with the newer watches launching with them). Personally would pass as software support will likely be non existed.

Does the watch not sync up with the phone? I don't really understand the need for the latest OS? Will the watch not work or something?

I owned one, but had to return it due to its highly inaccurate step counting.

Highly suspicious post.

Heavily voted up, for a brand I've never heard of (I'm up on the major bands and how they test).

With a conglomerate like Samsung not able to achieve much accuracy with their galaxy watches, seems unlikely that a rando company has.

Have to add onto this. TicWatch made big claims that they'll upgrade their current watches to WearOS 3 but have not delivered on a single one.

I have one as well and, while it's been very 'OK' (especially for the price), without appropriate support from TicWatch I can't recommend it.

I've had my non ultra pro 3 for 2 years. I've been happy with it, paid over $200 for it. I use it for strava, sleep tracking, hiking, timers, etc. IIRC they are going to update to the newest WearOS, but ran into issues with their micro being unsupported, so it's going slow. Would be nice, I hear optimization greatly helps the battery life (which hasn't really been an issue)

Do NOT support this lying company ! I bought my TicWatch E3 almost 2 years ago with the promise of having wear os3 updates and I have yet to get a single freaking update. My security patch update is from 2021 ! It's so ridiculous! This company is straight garbage

I also have the non ultra version of this watch. Except the os still stuck in 2021, it's a pretty good watch. Ticwatch has the best battery among all the wear os watches especially using the essential mode (second screen). It can be paired with any android phone for all features unlike Samsung watches. It does all the basic wearOS things like notifications (with reply), tracking health etc.

Just stick to name brands like Garmin, samsung, fitbit. Brands like these come and go.

Mobvoi is just another fly by the night bs Chinese company with at best decent hardware but no software support. No wonder adoption of wear OS continues to lag due to poor product selection. Fragmentation continues to haunt android ecosystem
