Thanks for the link! I looked at other Lavazza options and found Crema E Aroma which had a 20% off coupon for S&S (although I bought this coffee in the past) and I got it for $12.34: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002E2GQU
so not a memorable coffee, but a good value while this is $6/lbs
may be 5% less via subscribe and save - enjoy!

Crema E Aroma which had a 20% off coupon for S&S and I got it for $12.34:
yes, i've seen that price YRMV before
and i would recommend it over Rossa as
E.Aroma has a similar flavor note and
it's higher intensity means fewer
beans needed per cup - i hope others
here can catch the same YRMV deal.

As a heads up, although Flavor and taste is personal preference, the red-labeled Lavazza usually have a fair amount robusta beans, which are generally considered an inferior product compared to arabica. I'm a fan of Lavazza's 100% arabica varieties

My AMZ account is showing for the Crema E Aroma $18.04 after the S&S and then after the 20% coupon = $14.43.

i would NOT get this at any price...
the notes are an awful spice/fruit and the coffee flavor "intensity" is weak.
i would only get the espresso perfecto or espresso gran crema, not italiano.
rosso and Crema e Aroma. my favorite is Gran Crema, Super Crema…
looking over my tasting notes, i found rosso and creme.e
acceptable as long as you stick with medium roast version.
i found barista gran creme noticeably better if you don't mind a bit earthy,
(i've been drinking this one during the past month of May with good results)
while super creme was noticeably bland compared to rosso and creme.e
(june i'll be drinking a $12.34 kilo creme e aroma medium with no regrets)
to each his own i guess.
when these sale at $6/lb the super creme
(either the old brown or newer blue bag)
would be one i would avoid buying again.
in my opinion, rosso is their WORST blend, followed by Crema e Aroma. my favorite is Gran Crema, followed by Super Crema…
All these crema are messing with my espresso making. When there is no noticeable crema I can get away with doing the shot in a graduated cylinder, crema requires the use of a scale, as the level of extracted coffee is unclear, so going by volume would not work..
A lot of folks Pooh Pooh this blend, but it's the favorite at my work. Makes a solid americano. Great taste, easy drinking roast. I liken this blend to Coors beer; always a great option. May not be the fanciest drink at the table, but you know what you'll get and it'll be good every time.

interesting. for me, rosso tasted like stale sour diner coffee. crema e aroma was just underwhelming, not offensive, mostly lacking depth and roundness.
as for super crema, it's definitely the slickdeals favorite, and it's okay, but I agree with you, it's pretty mellow, but VERY smooth. I find it gets lost in a latte.
gran crema has that carmel syrup flavor I like and it stands up well to milk, making it my go to.
I'm also the oddball that likes espresso italiano too, notably for its ability to not get lost in latte.
my price targets are $7/kg for crema e aroma, $9-10 for italiano, $12 for gran crema and I think you'd have to pay ME for rosso 😜

you may need 20% more beans per cup to yield a full coffee flavor.
