Since I travel a lot this looks intriguing. But after looking at all the restrictions plus having to pay all taxes as well as fees for bags and seat assignment, and then in effect almost flying as a standby passenger have to give this a hard pass.

Think you are better off if you travel frequently to pick an airline or two to focus on, get a credit card from that airline that gives you a huge bonus to give you some miles for free trips. You can frequently find bonuses of 60,000 to 100,000 miles on signup and a minimum spend and an annual fee of under $100. As an example I got the Southwest Companion Pass and a huge point bonus after spending $5,000 in 90 days. Yeah, that could have been a struggle, but my employer was more than happy to reimburse me for hotel rooms and other such expenses and was reimbursed before the bill came. Of course all situations are different, but my point is there are other options to get something better than this for less money, and award tickets can be used roundtrip and booked whenever you want. Also with fare sales sometimes it is better to buy a ticket when it is insanely cheap to get you more points for award travel when it isn't..

Frontier in my opinion is bottom of the barrel service and operational wise, but if I lived in one of their hubs I might have a different opinion. They have stacked the deck to their advantage just like the casinos who sell you a "fun book" that has a bunch of coupons and gambling money that appear to save you money, but actually wind up getting you to spend more money with them.

Again, my opinion, wish anyone well who can work the system to their benefit, hope they can, but see too many hurdles to get your membership fee back. Also for it to be a real deal you need to save a multiple of your membership fee, as opposed to just getting it back.

Frontier Airlines operates from its main hub at Denver International Airport, and numerous other focus airports across the United States. Atlanta, Chicago–Midway, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix–Sky Harbor, Tampa, and Trenton are the focus cities.

I bought the summer pass but all flights are listed as "not available". Anyone else having this issue?

I've flown Frontier many times without issue. I just got back from a 5-day trip to Denver on May 16th that cost me a total of $37.96. I only took a backpack that I used as a personal item that was big enough for my work laptop and an extra portable monitor and didn't pay extra to pick my seat. The flight was direct and just over an hour each way. It's hard to beat that!

It's still $200 in fees to fly to Mexico... where a better flight from Volaris is only $253. Yeah no.

I love Frontier. I have flown Big Metal and I always was underwhelmed. The staff I met on the major airlines seem cold and scripted. Perhaps, they don't have any incentive to connect with the folks in coach. You still pay for bags with the economy fares, and that is what my hospital pays for.
The tiny "free" food you get on a full service plane is not fit for a HS cafeteria. You would not eat it unless you were stuck in a flying tin can. Really, how excited can you be about a free kids pack of pretzels?
Frontier FA have always been super friendly with bright fun personalities. They do allow tips for the food and beverages, so many are quite engaging if you order stuff, like a barkeep.

Funny, I like coffee and the FA always come back and say "hey hon' need a refill? I just made a fresh pot." Anyone who frequents a NJ diner knows that warmth.
I pay little for the flight, try to pack just an overnighter bag (free), and get to pick my own munchies and drinks. I buy "real" food at the airport and bring it.
Yet I still am still $100-200 ahead of the game to spend at my destination. It is a bus with wings.
I fly out of Phl or Trenton and have had no issues in 10+ flights.

This is slickdeals. I will never see why people are frugal with everything else but still need to feel like royalty on a plane. There are nicer places to splurge.

Paying taxes, just makes this sale terrible. For Dominican Republic, taxes both ways over $200.
