Why limit only Google pay to in-store when others are allowed to be used online.
Don't recollect ever sending one to Discover. Been using them for 13 yrs now. So not sure if this a new requirement
Don't think paypal is included under 'digital wallets', this is their terms:
Digital Wallet purchases include some online purchases and some in-store purchases made with your smartphone, tablet, or wearable. Wallets that qualify include Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Garmin Pay and in store with Google Pay. Apple Pay transactions included in this offer are transactions made in-store or online when using the Apple Pay button. Listed merchants are in no way sponsoring or affiliated with this program. Certain third-party payment accounts and digital wallet transactions may not earn 5% if Discover does not receive sufficient transaction detail for the purchase to be identified as being through a digital wallet. Discover does not determine the transaction details it receives for purchases. Using digital wallets to make purchases at gas stations will only earn a total of 5%.

Will likely pay my Progressive Auto Insurance bill on app with Google Pay using Discover, Not available on desktop version.
In past years, I would pay my Progressive bill via PayPal on desktop.
In-store Google pay is eligible for 5%. Not sure about online or app
4506-c suggests sharing with them your tax returns... That they will pull through Equifax
Do your research before commenting. And yes, there is a ton of wrong with sharing my tax returns for a $1000 CL (reportedly what they offer new accounts with excellent credit nowadays). No other bank demands this form. Aside from this, they must make it clear they will request this privacy intrusive form during the application, not after I get a hard pull from them and have to cancel the card not bowing to their ridiculous demands.
You dont have to view tax returns to determine one's credit. There is a reason credit scores/reports exist. They are not entitled for my entire tax returns for a credit card
I did my research and you quoted it, and it lead me to an IRS site, and some worked up folks on Reddit. Remember, no is making you have a Discover card. There are hundreds and hundreds of other credit cards out there.
We make lots of purchases at gas stations and more and more store are accepting google pay, so this will get a lot of mileage from us, no pun intended. Thanks OP!
"Gas Stations affiliated with supermarkets, supercenters, and wholesale clubs may not be eligible." That's nonsense! I'm noticing this more on credit card cashback offers.
Keep in mind it says "may not be eligible" not "will not be eligible". In years past we've used our DC for purchases at supermarket affiliated gas stations during the 5% cb period and knock on wood it has always worked.
Yes it is priced higher than the grocery store. About 10% higher on average in my area. But I don't go to the grocery store that often. Local gas station is nice for just quickly walking over there and grabbing some beers on a whim. Grocery store means burning gas going to and from plus time wasted walking from parking lot into store, checking out, and then driving back home. Once or twice a week I just want a few big cans of imported beer or maybe a six pack from a regional or local brewer. If I was serious about cheap beers and getting the cost down to cheap as possible I'd probably invest in a kegerator. In my state it's illegal for beer companies to offer coupons so 5% cashback is as good as I'm gonna get unfortunately.
Link does not work. When clicking the Log in to Activate button, nothing happens. It has me login again even though I'm already logged in. Infinite loop.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but the rewards calendar is not working at this time. Please check again later.
I believe this is incorrect. You might want to read your terms again.
If you have plat honors status it gives 5.25% in a category of your choice (which could be either gas stations or all online purchases- and can be changed monthly) up to $2500 in spending per quarter.
And you can have more than 1 of them, each with their own $2500 cap and their own category choice.

If you pay via Gpay, it is always eligible
It is 100% correct for the user with free enrolled with "Preferred Reward Honor" or above membership
