I called Ego customer support and asked if Woot is considered an authorized dealer. The lady put me on hold for a minute and came back and said it is an authorized dealer. I didn't ask for anything in writing, but that's good enough for me. If anyone else gets another answer, please post what they said to you.

I have this equipment for almost a year, I wouldn't recommend to get this model. The reason is because the string won't auto feed like how it advertised and you don't have a way to make the string come out. I have been cutting my grass with short string and not sure when the sting will extend.

basically it is the same mower just the added 2.5ah battery. If you have less than 0.5acre lawn, I think you'll be ok.

Yeah looks like Ace messed up. When you cart it, it's $150 off the reg. price so it's $599, which is the same price as lowes lol

I'm slowly converting my B&D electric lawn tools to Ego. So far, I did so my lawn mower and blower. I still have the edger/weed wacker and hedge trimmer to go. Should I get this edger/weed wacker or another model? I saw a guy on the 1st page say that the string doesn't auto-bump well. Any other feedback here?

I have purchased two ego products. self propelled mower and battery combo, and a trimmer battery combo. Both items I had to work with tech support, mower had a bad weld on rear axle and the trimmer kit had a bad battery after only 2 cycles. Maybe I have really bad luck or EGO products quality is not at the same level as their premium price. Customer support is good, slow, but good.

Getting my after market brush cutter head to work with the ego trimmer was a pain. Power is okay not amazing.

I have this trimmer for about a year. Not sure where it is sensing to auto feed, but it only auto feed whenever it feels like it. Most of the time I trim my grass with short strings and it just wants to auto feed when I am almost done trimming. Also, it vibrates too much compare to the 15" aluminum version.

I have this trimmer. Power is top notch. Line iq is mediocre. I want to have a long line all the time when I flip the trimmer for edging but unfortunately there's no way to manually advance the line.

I was just about to post the same exact thing! This happened to me too... right now, it won't load the string anymore and just spins around and makes the noise. I'm never getting another Ego product, gas is still the superior option.
