If you're very new I would suggest sticking with what you have and practicing until you are able to achieve a more consistent strike before upgrading.
Hopefully they'll release the left-handed version for us weirdos soon!
Mmmm, open faced club sandwedge…

So, I'm new to golf. I got the Edge set the other day. Now I need to buy this and get rid of the SW from the Edge Set? That will be a better transition in angles and give me better options, right?

How much better is this than the original wedge set?

They changed some of the overall dimensions by a thousandth of an inch. Need to look super close and compare to originals. Supposed to make it fractionally lighter.

Usually those game improvement irons are pretty strong lofted (lower degree) and don't really match well with traditional wedge sets. I'd stick with what you've got.

You don't really need a 60. If you want you could look into a gap (G or A, same thing) wedge for your Edges. Fits between the pitching and sand wedges. Would probably be around a 50 degree. Have to find out what degree your current wedges are.

I'm a newer golfer too so take it for what it's worth but that Edge set should handle everything you need it to.

Edit: looks like 44 and 54 for your P and S so if you got a gap/approach wedge a 49/50 would probably do fine.

I am a low-mid handicapper and have used the originals for a couple years. I was using vokeys prior to these but grooves were dulling and I didn't want to pay $140+ for ONE new wedge. These are by far the best wedges you can get for the price with absolutely no competition. As an amateur, these are perfect - no need to worry about toe / bounce if you don't play super seriously. Keep your grooves sharp and you will get the spin and feel you need. Some would argue that it's essential to be fitted for wedges which has some validity, but that's if you really want to be serious about golf. Like others said, I don't think there's a huge difference in terms of performance, but these definitely look more like a golf club - the original looks .... very kirkland hahahaha

I was recently fitted for clubs, and while I didn't hit any wedges during the fitting, the fitter recommended 50 and 54 degree Cleveland CBX wedges with tour spinner shafts. I just purchased those (the Zipcores) for $130 each. Should I just stick with those or get these and return the Clevelands?

Stick with the CBX. The cavity will help you on misses.
