I will forever be kicking myself for not buying this thing when it was available on numerous occasions closer to $400 several years ago. Now I've come to terms with the fact that it will never be in that price range again and I'll never actually buy one.

Nice, Thanks. When I checked last, Home Depot was still showing MSRP. Just ordered from Home Depot instead, since the Amazon order was going to be delivered on Jun 9th. Home Depot says it'll be delivered in 2 days. Now going to cancel my Amazon order.

Sounds like this is no question the planer to get, especially over the slightly cheaper lunch box models. I just don't think I have quite enough use/space for it right now to justify. Super tempting though.

If you're going to be using it a lot you probably want to budget for the helical cutter head also.
