It's worth noting that there is a "newer" version (Gen 4) of this model on the display floor that looks nearly identical and is the same price, but inferior IMO.

Gen 3 (this deal):
18 ga steel
21.5" deep
Pullout wood block work surface
LED light
2 interior power strips with USB

Gen 4:
19 ga steel
20" deep
No pullout surface
No LED light
1 interior power strip with USB

As with most things, newer is not necessary better. Be sure to buy the correct one if you're going to buy in-store.

Good luck all!
I'm going to sound stupid but that's on me… if it isn't obvious, this thing is heavy. Something like 550 lbs. Unless you have a trailer with a ramp, pay for delivery. I picked one up yesterday thinking I'd take two trips with my SUV. Just lifting the top off was a chore and I'm not weak by any stretch. Ended up buying a hitch and renting a trailer.
I rented a flat bed truck from my Home Depot. Came out to $25 for 75 minutes. Mine was shrink-wrapped on a pallet and they dropped it with a fork lift. When I got it home, I put a sheet of plywood on the ramp and slid the boxes down. I really wanted mine today, so this option was totally worth it.

I got one 6 months back. I can't say enough good things about this cabinet. I paid full price and would again. At this price, it's a no brainer.

Interesting, you know I was in the market for one of these about a year ago. Seems like the price was $898 MSRP?

Have the gen 3 and love it. Just a homeowner/DIYer who needed places to hide new tools from the "boss" at home. No issues at all after 2 years.

Forgive me here but am I missing something? The price listed via the link is $1198, so I'm not seeing the $798 deal.

I have this same Gen3 cabinet, and I love it. It's got great build quality, and can't be best for the price. The American General stuff from HF is OK if you've got an even tighter budget, but this one is likely going to last my entire lifetime.

Just picked up the floor model that was already built. Had to make two trips. First trip was the top and then the bottoms was able to unload the top alone on to a dolly. Had to get help with the bottom. It's currently on its back in the garage waiting for a neighbor to walk by to help me up right it. Lol.

This thing is a behemoth. Keep your neighbor around long enough to help you deadlift the top part too. Harder than I anticipated. Be sure to show your appreciation with beer.

Just got 1 of 6 sitting at my local Home Depot. Like others said, this thing is heavy. I ended up just renting a trailer right there at Home Depot to get it home.
