I prefer the designs that form fit the console instead of mimmicking the original panels' design, just FYI if you're thinking about buying one...may want to see what else is out there first.

Can also paint your existing literally any color you want w/ clear coat for like $14 if you like DIY stuff.

Krylon fusion works great. Dye would be another option. I wrapped mine.

Lots of simple options.

Krylon fusion and Rustoleum options are not worth buying anymore unless at half price. They go for around $7 per can. You can get Montana Gold, Upol, or Seymour paints for around $9-10 online or in places like autozone. They are more durable, lay way more smooth with less potential for runs, dry faster, and give better coverage in less coats. You literally save money to spend $2-3 extra and get all the other benefits on top. Post Covid paint costs are wild and a completely different ball game.

That purple may go hard just like the purple controller I bought. I don't even like purple but that controller looks beautiful.

I hear you all about how you can of course do this yourself for a fraction of the cost...but to me, this is like changing your own oil vs having someone do it for you. The amount of effort to get the $7-10 dollar can of paints + the right type of brush + space to do it + time to do it + skill to do it right.....vs just paying $45 + tax????

If this was a hobby, I'd go the DIY route. It's not, like many of us, so I think it's super fine to not cave in and just get the stock plates.

I was thinking about getting one for the ventilation, but I'm thinking since Sony didn't feel the need for it, I may bypass it too and just go with a smooth color that they offer.
