Portable dual screen for laptop is probably what we I would use it for. Once you go dual screen it's a chore whenever you have to use single screen

Anyone looking for one of these cheap portable monitors:

Imo, don't even bother unless it can charge through the usb c cable. Do you really want to pack a power cable or brick with these when traveling?

How bad is it? Brightness, viewing angle, clarity? Is there any kind of mount on the back at all?

A pastime of mine is buying these types of monitors in pairs and using them for triple-monitor setups. If they have any kind of mount, it's possible to 3D print an adapter for VESA. (Yeah, maybe I should get out more)

If the gamers and steam deck users love it, that's all I need yummy
Name brand monitors like these run for $130-$200. Pretty nifty that this includes a magnetic cover as well. Last one I got in a price error included a flimsy cover that was basically useless; smallest vibration of me sitting in my chair was enough to knock it over.

I have a 15.6 FHD Lepow monitor and it works perfectly fine with Switch (no dock required--just connect the USB C cable from Switch to monitor, and another USB C cable to a sufficient power supply). I imagine this would be same.

I assume these monitors are dropping prices due to low demand for mining rigs.

I have the 2.5k monitor under a different brand (but reviews show the same box so I'm quite sure they're from the same OEM). Difference is, that one is a 3:2 ratio instead of 16:9 for this one, so you'll see black bars on the top and bottom if watching movie is what you do most. For productivity and viewing photos though, 3:2 is great. On Mac scaling isn't that well supported because there's limited choices for 3:2 resolutions.

If you wait for that one, it sometimes goes down to $110.
Thanks for the details. I am using it for both movies, occasional productivity and also letting son doing school work which is mostly on iPads. I will think about it. 🙂

What do you do with it, attaching it on a phone? Laptop has a screen and iPad/tablet has decent size screen also…

Tempting. I don't travel much and I've been thinking I need this in our bedroom and stream games on it (with a modded switch).

Seriously considering setting this up with an extra Series S for the times the kids take over the TV…
