Might not be the cheapest option but if you have a glass store nearby, you can get a custom glass top made for it. It cost us around $300 for ours

I brought this one for $1300 from costco back in September last year it is still packed I haven't used it because my house closing got delayed can I return and get this one? do you guys think costco will take return? or do price match instead?

They will 100% take it back.

Price match maybe…. If you brought it online call. They may do a "one time" exception to price match

Last resort is buying at this price and then just returning it as the original item (unopened). Hopefully they just give you the price match to save the hassle...but there's always a way (provided it's within the return window).
