Note, this being sold by a 3rd party.

Not sold by Walmart.com
That third party is Hart Consumer Products, inc. (the manufacturer).

not unless that person isnt worried about marring their paint unless they know what they're doing...

also:
**Using HART 20V 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery (not included)

Is there a buffer you recommend that would have a lesser chance of marring paint?

Never had good experience with low end buffers. Anyone had experience with this one?

First, the battery size with this one probably won't last long enough to do a paint correction, you would prob need atleast two or three of the batteries. As far as marring the paint or leaving holograms, that comes more from practice and experience. Good buffers depend on what you want to spend. You could go with a maxshine ($200) which many people rave about, or you could go with rupes or flex ($300+). All of which have corded options so no need to worry about battery life. If you were looking cordless, DeWalt and Milwaukee both have recently come out with battery powered polishers that have a good throw (I believe 21mm off the top of my head - which means how far out the pad swings from the polisher, usually you'll see 8mm, 15mm, 21mm) and have rave reviews from many in the detailing industry

If you are already invested in a cordless line (Ryobi, DeWalt, Makita, etc.) look for offering from them as you likely already have several batteries. Ryobi has their 6" buffer for $39.97 W/O battery.

Yep. Hart buffers are terrible, and bog down under their own weight.

I like a lot of their tools, but their buffers are not good.

Or make more if you don't know what you're doing.
